Home Office Immigration Fee Increases 2025
On 16th January 2025 the UK Government laid before Parliament the draft Immigration and Nationality (Fees) (Amendment) Order 2025. This legislation, if approved, will authorise substantial increases in fees for a wide range of immigration and nationality services.
Key Fee Increases:
- Skilled Worker Visas: CoS and SaW fees for skilled workers will rise from £239 to £525. Fees for temporary workers and certain sub-routes will increase from £25 to £55.
- Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA): The ETA fee will increase from £15 to £16. This is expected to generate an additional £140 million in revenue.
- Citizenship: citizenship application fees will rise from £1,500 to £1,605.
- Other Nationality Fees: Increases are also proposed for renunciation of British citizenship, amendments to citizenship certificates, review of decisions, and right of abode documentation.
The Explanatory Memorandum accompanying the draft legislation provides further details on the proposed fee increases and their anticipated impact.
