Barnes Harrild & Dyer Solicitors is a Legal 500 recognised firm specialising in immigration, asylum and public law. Operating from offices in Croydon and Central London, with a well-established remote working team, we are expanding and seeking solicitors and senior accredited caseworkers to join our growing practice.

Positions Available

Private Client Solicitor (Immigration – Personal & Business) (2 positions)

We are seeking a commercially minded solicitor to develop and manage a predominantly private client caseload, including both personal and business immigration matters. You will work within a well-established team and have the opportunity to build your own client following while handling a broad range of instructions, including complex applications and appeals.

Requirements:

  • Solicitor, Barrister or Legal Executive with practising certificate
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in immigration, asylum or human rights law
  • Experience across both personal and business immigration routes preferred
  • Strong client care skills and ability to manage matters independently
  • Ambition to assist grow our private client practice

Package:

  • £40,000 – £50,000 (DOE) + performance-based bonus
  • Hybrid / remote working available
  • Clear progression pathway with supervision and mentoring

Immigration and Asylum Solicitor (Hybrid Legal Aid & Private Work) (2 positions)

This role is ideal for solicitors who wish to maintain a mixed caseload, combining private client work with legally aided public law and detained matters. You will handle a varied and engaging workload, including judicial review, detention/removal cases, and certificated matters, alongside private instructions.

Requirements:

  • As above, plus:
  • Experience in legal aid
  • IAAS Senior or Advanced Accreditation
  • Strong drafting and case management skills

Package:

  • £40,000 – £50,000 (DOE) or consultancy option available as many of our consultants have significantly increased their earnings compared to traditional employed roles

Consultant Opportunities – Senior Caseworkers & Supervisors (IAAS Level 2+) (Multiple positions)

We are expanding our highly successful consultancy model across our legal aid departments in the following areas:

  • Asylum Appeals
  • Unaccompanied Minors
  • Upper Tribunal work
  • Detained Contract teams
  • Assisting in the preparation of judicial review and other litigation matters, under the supervision of a qualified solicitors
