2024 Creative Worker Visa Requirements
A Creative Worker is someone who works in the creative industries, such as a musician, actor, entertainer, model or a dancer.
To be eligible the Creative Worker must:
- Make a unique contribution to the UK labour market
- Be sponsored by an employer operating in the creative sector holding a sponsor licence
- Be paid the minimum salary set by Equity, Pact or Bectu unless exempt
- Have enough money to support themselves in the UK, usually this is £1270 unless exempt
A Creative Worker can come to the UK for a maximum of 12 months or the time given in the certificate of sponsorship plus 28 days, whichever is shorter. In some circumstances this can be extended. This is not a route to settlement but switching into an alternative route is permitted.
A Creative Worker can be accompanied by their dependent partner and children.
The Creative Worker will be permitted to study and do a second job.
The Creative Worker will not be permitted to claim public funds or start their own business.
