Immigration Health Surcharge Rise Update 2024

Substantial rises to the Immigration Health Surcharge have now been approved by Parliament. The Immigration (Health Charge) (Amendment) Order 2024 was passed on 16^th January 2024 and comes into force 21 days later. This will therefore become effective on 6^th February 2024. 

The increase is significant. For children, youth mobility workers, students and their dependents the surcharge will increase from £470 to £776 per year. For all other applicants the surcharge will increase from £624 to £1035 per year. 

Applicants should therefore be advised to make applications as soon as they are able to do so to avoid the increase on 6^th February 2024.
