2023 Priority Visa Service for Family Visa Applications

Priority Visa Services are currently on offer for most Family Visa applications submitted from outside the UK. 

Those applying for a Spouse Visa, Civil Partner Visa, Unmarried Partner Visa, Fiancé visa, Proposed Civil Partner Visa, Child Visa and Adult Dependent Relative Visa are eligible to upgrade to a priority service. 

Priority services are currently offered at most visa application centres. 

The Home Office have recently updated their visa processing times guidance. It is estimated that those applying for family visas should expect to wait on average 24 weeks to receive a decision. This has resulted in the prolonged separation of many family members whilst applicants wait for decisions. 

For applicants who do not wish to wait 24 weeks, the priority service can be utilised. Family visa applicants using the Priority Service should receive decisions on their applications within 30 working days. Not all applications will be suitable for Priority Service.
